So, where was I on Wednesday? At the Texas State Fair! I was selected as one of 30 bloggers to get to test drive a Chevy Traverse for two weeks and blog about it! I drove it home Wednesday, and got to drive it a little today and yesterday. It was wonderful!
Before we got our Traverse's, we got to test drive some of the other cars Chevy makes. My kids especially loved the Camaro and the Corvette. My youngest, Nick, says, "I'm going to drive a Camaro when I grow up!"
What I like about the Traverse so far: I really enjoyed driving a NEW car first of all (my car is 14 years old). This one is also very convenient for moms. I can easily put the seats up and down with one hand and it's easy for kids to get into the back, too!
I also got to try out the OnStar on the way home. I asked for directions to my house. I knew how to get home once we got on the highway, but it was nice to know how to get ONTO the highway. Especially when I went to the nearest on ramp and it was closed due to construction! When I went off the route, OnStar asked me if I wanted to recalculate or stop and I was able to say "yes" to get updated directions. This helped out my hubby who was driving my car home, too.
I was really impressed with how easy it was to drive. It's a mid-sized SUV, but it drives more like a car. With the mirrors, rear view camera, and the small blind spots, it was not difficult at all to drive.
Things I'm still getting used to: where the controls are, where the speedometer is, and how long it is--not much longer than my van, but it seems longer. Glad I have the rear view camera to help me out!
